Writing East Midlands creates and develops opportunities with inspiring, professional writers through community projects and programmes of work designed to nurture skills, confidence, and joy in the act of creative writing.
The Project Manager is at the forefront of delivery for Beyond The Spectrum, supported by the Head of Programmes. This is a national project delivered from our base in Nottingham. The role is supported by a Project Assistant, and a Link Worker. The role involves the following:
- To manage Beyond The Spectrum, a creative writing project, in line with the organisation's values and within agreed budgets and resources.
- Managing a network of creative writing groups for Autistic people of all ages, both online and in community settings, and connecting them to external opportunities.
- Support a programme of masterclasses, digital festivals, and a digital hub for participants.
- Working in partnership with stakeholders, funders, Autism services, local government and libraries, to deliver the project in line with project values and plans around diversity and inclusion.
- Manage the Project Assistant
- Maintain excellent internal and external relationships and communications
- Manage reporting requirements
