As a Programme Manager, you will join the Operational Resilience Programme & Change contract role and report into the Group Head of Operational Resilience within the Data Governance, Resilience & Service Escalation (DGRSE) function in the Operations division within our client's business.
The DGRSE Programme Management team is focused on driving change on behalf of DGRSE across the broader organisation by implementing & embedding common frameworks, capabilities, tools, policies, and standards as well as putting in place metrics and reporting and tracking the progress and impact of the work being done.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on delivering various key Operational Resilience based initiatives
- To support business in implementing regulatory related change.
- Have Financial Services experience with an understanding of the functions performed in a Financial Services Organisation.
- Lead one or more workstreams to support and drive the implementation of regulatory change across the Operational Resilience space based on global regulations and requirements - with specific focus on future regulatory oversight, service provision obligations and third-party risk resilience considerations.
- Partners with programme / project managers to help define project objectives, milestones and success criteria and develops status reports to update senior stakeholders on delivery progress against owned actions
- Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide SME knowledge to create new requirements, methodologies, and procedures to support effective policy and framework implementation.
- Lead the development of relevant artefacts to support the implementation of any new requirements.
- Drive to gain support for proposals, including approvals to implement through relevant programme governance forums.
- Thorough understanding of all Operational Resilience aspects including technology, cyber and third-party related resilience risks, and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of Risk & Controls operations in Financial Services.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively at all organisational levels.
- Excellent at managing and influencing a wide network of stakeholders, including senior management, who can influence and build relationships.
- Willing and able to challenge customers and stakeholders to better understand their needs.
- Excellent documentation skills: ability to create high quality steering committee materials.
- Operational Resilience experience in either 1LOD or 2LOD.
- Global experience - working successfully with teams in multiple locations simultaneously.
- Experience in large investment banking or financial services organisations.
- Thorough understanding of all Operational Resilience aspects including technology, cyber and third-party related resilience risks, and regulatory requirements.
