About the Role

In line with our Global strategy and purpose, we have an opportunity for a Programme Planner to join the UK Transformation Programme, the largest business Transformation Programme at Allianz, it's purpose to harmonize, simplify and scale Allianz assets across the entire Group to the benefit of OEs, employees and, ultimately, customers. This is a massive undertaking in every respect that puts Allianz at the forefront of industry innovation.

About the Role:
Key accountabilities:
  • Creating and managing the UK Transformation Integrated Programme Plan, including all UK workstreams and alignment with Global build plans where necessary
  • Driving the strategic and tactical development of dependent Jira activities that are required to fully implement effective Programme Planning outcomes
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure adherence to their workstream plans, which will feed into the Integrated Programme Plan
  • Tracking deliveries across the various Programme workstreams to identify and communicate impacts of plan changes on the critical delivery path. This includes identifying and communicating both financial and resourcing impacts that deviate from the original plan
  • Proactively escalating and mitigating issues impacting the critical delivery path
  • Creating a plan in an appropriate planning tool to fit the various tracking and reporting needs, as well as ensuring the format of plan is appropriate for the broad variety of stakeholders (e.g. SteerCo’s, Board Papers…)
  • Supporting the creation of benefits realisation plan aligned to core delivery plan timelines
  • Challenging and influencing the broad stakeholder groups across the UK and wider Programme
  • Leading other members within the Programme Planning team of the TMO, specifically in relation to Jira/programme tooling
  • Working closely with the rest of the TMO domains to deliver collective TMO outcomes and ensure plan priorities are clearly articulated and well understood by all.
Technical skills:
  • Strong expertise in Jira and Confluence
  • Project Management technical skills including organisation, governance, estimation, planning, scheduling, tracking, reporting and risk/issue management.
  • Proficient in change management skills including communications and ability to effectively manage stakeholders up to board (C-suite level).
  • Proficient in Project Management & Office tools such as MS Office Suite, MS Project and MS Excel.
  • Experience:
  • Planning experience in large scale Transformation Programmes with proven ability to manage integrated programme plans.
  • Managing actions cross-function and cross-border from teams that successful planning outcomes are dependent on
  • Owning and communicating integrated plan progress to Board level forums
  • Planning across long term horizons and across multi-geographical teams.
  • Previous experience of driving the Jira strategy across the programme and the wider business in alignment with the programme plan
  • Planning in the context of external vendors and ensuring a holistic integrated plan aligning to vendor solutions.
  • Experience of challenging senior stakeholders in event of plan deviation.
  • Commercial insurance experience preferred
Qualifications:
  • Professionally qualified within Project Management – APM PMQ, MAPM or PMI/equivalent preferred.
  • Professionally qualified in Project, Programme or Portfolio Methodologies –minimum Practitioner Level in at least one of Prince2, Agile, MSP, MOP or equivalent
