Significant contract wins have led to the requirement of a new Project Accountant role, based in Leeds, reporting into the Group Financial Controller.
Cenergist have excelled in providing the design and install of district and communal heating systems, which can include ground source and air source heat pumps as part of the solution. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a qualified Project Accountant to join the growing team and drive success in line with the 10 year business growth plan. The role
Although you will be based in the Leeds office, frequent travel will be required to their site in London, initially, on a weekly basis. This is an essential requirement for this role, and fully expensed by the business.
The day to day will involve, but not be limited to the following;
- Working with the business to create a detailed set of project accounts for both current and new projects moving forward.
- You will own the project accounting function, working with the project managers and the commercial leads to understand forecasts, track work done to date, whilst managing spend on projects in alignment with budgets.
- The Project Accountant will identify all risks associated, show impact on revenue and margins, identify over runs, look at how the client can recover costs and implement a review process.
- You will have the ability to engage a wide audience and liaise at a senior level is essential, communicating with confidence and charisma.
- The appointed person will be regularly working Commercial leads, QS, Project Managers, Senior Operations team.
- The Project Accountant will have the ability to show strength of character.
The Person
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Dynamic approach, friendly, influential and a self-starter.
- Must be capable of working at pace and with a high degree of accuracy.
- You will have energy, ambition and spark, with the ability to pick things up quickly.
- Attention to detail is a prerequisite.
- You will be technically strong with previous project accounting experience.
- Experience of partnering with colleagues across the business is ideal
