Project Accountant

Your new company
Hays have partnered with this organisation who are looking for a Project Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis to support a large transformation project that the organisation is embarking on.
Your new role
As the Project Accountant, you will support with the financial controls for key projects including; reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analysis.
Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Oversee the delivery of accurate project reporting information
• Reporting on the organisation's project budgets and forecasts on a regular basis
• Performing financial reviews
• Support with the review and improvement of processes and procedures, to ensure that the financial control requirements are met
• Supporting financial analysis for each business case
• Advise on the cash control/allocation of project expenditure
• Challenge stakeholders when necessary, tasking them with accountability.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the postilion you will:

• Have prior experience in a project or cost accounting role
• Have strong management accounts experience, particularly in budgeting and forecasting
• Have a professional accountancy qualification- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Finalist
• Be highly analytical and have the ability to spot variances to reduce risk.
