Position:Project Coordinator
Location: Blackburn
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our design function, ensuring all design packages are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Leader/Design Manager in managing the design process using commercial, contractual, and technical expertise.
- Identify, scope, and appoint external consultants and contractors for successful project delivery.
- Manage the design delivery of appointed consultants and contractors, ensuring quality and adherence to project timescales.
- Support Town and Country Planning processes.
- Plan, chair, and record meetings, minuting key progress and decisions.
- Advise other departments on design information requirements and obligations.
- Ensure design information adheres to current legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
- Monitor the quality of design information in line with company standards and processes.
- Reduce health, safety, and financial risks in the design and construction processes.
- Support continuous improvements within the Design Department.
- Maintain good relations with internal colleagues and project teams, liaising with clients on work-related issues.
- Support the integration of CDM detail within the company's processes and legislation.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A Mechanical, Electrical, Design, or technical background would be advantageous but not essential:
- Familiarity with construction projects and RIBA work stages.
- Knowledge of software including AutoCAD and understanding of BIM.
- Excellent communication, motivational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and present ideas effectively.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to value each team member's contributions.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home, so a Full UK driving licence is essential
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in an engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture.
- Professional Membership/Chartered status of relevant body.
- Minimum two year's experience in a similar role.
