Project Coordinator Degree Apprenticeship

Degree Qualification: BSc in Project Management Professional at Aston University
Duration: 3 years
Locations: Hatfield, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Reading, Sheffield – Hybrid; mix of working remotely and from office locations as required
By joining the Project Management Degree Apprentice programme, you will become part of Computacenter’s Projects Practice Team. You’ll work as a Project Coordinator but dedicate some of your time to virtually studying towards a level 6 degree in Project Management.
You will be part of a team that supports and develops people, and you will be given training and support to work towards confidently supporting project managers with delivery of IT projects for our customers. Which includes, some of the world’s leading organisations, spanning across both Public and Private Sectors.

What you’ll do
Work:
- You will be given a thorough induction and training period, where you will learn from a range of experts from across the business.
- Learn the fundamentals of Project Management, as well as our specific systems and our Project Management methodology & processes.
- Develop an understanding of the IT Industry and gain first-hand experience of supporting project managers with delivering a range of technical solutions to solve some of our customers’ most important challenges.
- Project reporting, this includes recording project schedules and progress to keep the team and customer informed.
- Prepare and host meetings, internally and with customers.
- Handle financial management for your projects.
- Gain an understanding of our customer’s business objectives to then assist them to gain access to our range of services.
- Have exposure to other functions across our business, to understand how we operate.
- Opportunity to work on a diverse range of well-known customer accounts.
Study:
- Attend bi-monthly virtual webinars with Aston University.
- Meet with university supervisors once a month online of in person.
- Take part in practical and theoretical training to develop project management skills and gain a formal degree qualification.
- Learn how to strategically, and financially, manage small- or large-scale projects.
- Complete a large work-based project demonstrating the theory and skills gained throughout the apprenticeship.
What you’ll need
- To be considered for this programme, Aston University expects that applicants will have/are predicted to achieve three A Levels at CCC or above, or equivalent BTECs. Please ensure that your grades/predictions are visible on your CV.
- You must have a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including Mathematics and English Language.
- You’ll be driven and committed to provide outstanding levels of service.
