Project Coordinator - RNIB SkillSET
Salary: £28,965 per annum
Contract type: Fixed Term Contract up to 31st March 2025
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Derry / Belfast - Flexible locations across Northern Ireland.
We’re the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and we’re here for everyone affected by sight loss. Working for us means working for one of the UK’s biggest charities, supporting almost two million people living with sight loss in the UK.
RNIB is leading the creation of a world where there are no barriers for people with sight loss. One of our key priorities is to ask people to see sight loss differently, reversing inaccurate perceptions and changing public behaviours so everyone expects equal participation from people with sight loss and the creation of a fully accessible society.
What we are looking for
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Employment Team in Northern Ireland, to undertake the coordination of the UKSPF funded ‘RNIB SkillSET’ project.
We aim to drive up the employment rate of people with sight loss and tackle the barriers they face.
What you’ll be doing
You'll work as part of a small team, coordinating all project activity and volunteer support.
You’ll also be responsible for compiling and coordinating all claim information required by the funder to enable the project to run.
What you’ll need to succeed in this role
You’ll have project coordination experience coupled with excellent communication and organisation skills, ideally acquired in the employment sector.
You’ll be proactive in contributing to the development of the service.
You’ll live in Northern Ireland.
In return
RNIB prides itself on being a great place to work with a range of flexible benefits and a positive, progressive culture. We offer a competitive salary, a stimulating and supportive working environment, a flexible work life balance environment, as well as a benefits package including:
- 26 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), which increase with service, plus one grace day per year
- RNIB Rewards - Our employee discounts platform gives you access to offers at over 800 in-store and online retailers
- In-house training and development opportunities, including apprenticeships and management development programmes
- Flexible working arrangements
- Contributory pension scheme
