Job Purpose
You will use your project management skills to define, prepare, lead and execute projects in line with business needs. This will involve overseeing the project lifecycle and ensuring project objectives. You could find yourself modifying existing production processes, replacing obsolete equipment and installing new safety devices and controls or upgrading of existing facilities or utilities.
- Execute engineering projects meeting efficiency, timescale, scope, budget, quality & stakeholder satisfaction targets.
- Collaborate with colleagues & input for process/operations modifications & develop business cases as needed.
- Support the delivery of the site capex investment plan in accordance with agreed site priorities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities & make suggestions for improvement in production processes.
- Manage stakeholders & oversee the work of contractors.
- Ensure work complies with statutory, regulatory & company standards.
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
- Experience in chemical or mechanical construction Project Engineering.
- Familiarity with the codes/standards regulating the chemical process industry.
- Working knowledge of HAZOP, Risk Assessment, Audit & HSE plans.
- Experience / knowledge of Construction Design & Management Regulations.
- Understanding of legislation & knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Methodical & organised approach.
- Enjoys a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key.
