Project Engineer
Ebro Solutions Limited are a contractor working in Cornwall, predominantly in the water sector. We specialise in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering and groundworks. Our recent expansion has led us to open an office in St. Columb and we are seeking to build on our team by recruiting an experienced Water Industry Project Engineer to manage and deliver schemes around Cornwall to the high standards that Ebro prides itself on setting. This opportunity will see the successful applicant gaining an early foothold in a strong and growing company.
You will be working with the directors, project management and delivery teams at both our office in Trekenning (St Columb Major) and our various sites around Cornwall and Devon.

You will be planning, coordinating, programming and helping the teams on the ground to deliver various civils, mechanical and electrical projects. You will be responsible for management, supervision and delivery of schemes allocated to you and you will offer your skills and experience generally to the business on a wider level also. You will coordinate staff and subcontractors and will liaise directly with suppliers and our clients to ensure efficient and effective 'first-time' delivery of projects of values between GBP1,000 and GBP100,000, from start to finish. You will always have the support of our highly experienced, helpful and friendly team.
Project Engineer Roles & responsibilities:
- Delivery of a full project lifecycle from tender to completion, ensuring delivery is within program and budget.
- Manage suppliers and sub-contractor packages to meet project deliverables and resource works accordingly.
- Capable of reading drawings and coordinating the design.
- Client liaison, chairing and attending meetings on scope development/cost queries.
- Coordination between all other Ebro team members to ensure planning and delivery of projects and tasks is safe, efficient and to a high quality.
Skills & experience:
- 3 years water industry experience minimum.
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
- Strong understanding of current Health & Safety legislation including CDM 2015, Work at Height, Asbestos Awareness, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER etc.
- Familiarity with water industry technical standards. Such as WIMES and CESWI.
- Technical experience in either M&E or civils within the water industry, and commercial skills/awareness.
- Experience with coordination, communication and procurement.
- Ability to read and review drawings, specifications and scoping documents.
- Work within a wider team, including Site managers, Estimators, Procurement engineers and Project managers.
- Excellent communicator, able to liaise directly with clients as required.
- Full valid drivers licence.
