We’re looking for an experienced Foundation Brakes Project Engineer with a firm theoretical and technical knowledge of whole brake systems to join our team. In this pivotal role you will take ownership for the whole of the brake systems on a particular vehicle platform at AML. You will lead on the design and delivery of the brake system; project managing from concept through to production, acting as the sole point of truth and liaising with internal teams from Programme and Engineering to Purchasing. You will also manage our Tier 1 Suppliers for commodities and components relating to brakes, as well as maintain other external relationships including those with testing and validation partner sites.

Due to the level of responsibility this position requires an individual with demonstrable previous experience in managing brakes delivery from start to end. You will have a solid theoretical and technical understanding of brakes systems as a whole, gained within an OEM or Tier 1 supplier. You’ll be a confident and approachable individual able to liaise effectively with various internal teams as well as managing external supplier relationships. You don’t need specific software knowledge initially, however you should be keen to learn and able to pick up new systems easily. Any experience or exposure to CAD would be beneficial as would knowledge of MS Projects, though neither are required.
