The Role of Project Engineer

• Support the commissioning, installation, and modification of various control systems, control panels, and equipment.
• Support Project Managers and Project Engineers during the quotation stage.
• Adopt safe systems of work (RAMS).
• Observe the requirements of any Permit to Work
• Follow efficient work procedures and techniques.
• Assess tasks and report any issues or variations.
• Ensure all tools and equipment in use is certified and calibrated.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and other third parties.
• Undertake specialist training as required.
• Demonstrate and apply the principles of continuous improvement to achieve 'Best Practice'.

The Right Project Engineer

• +5 years' experience in installing and commissioning electrical control systems and control panels.
• Ability to fault find and I/O check control systems of varying complexity.
• Ability to work from technical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID documentation.
• Experience with basic configuration of intelligent devices such as sensors, interlocks, drives, etc.
• Familiarity with PLC-based control systems (Including Siemens and Rockwell environments) to facilitate basic commissioning tasks.
• General understanding of the requirements of machine safety, and functional verification processes.
• Good Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• To be a team player.
• Full UK Driving Licence
