We seek a skilled Project Lead / Director with a successful history of delivering large-scale construction and infrastructure projects at a Major Airport.
The airports current projects, which range from 50m to 350m, include the International Departure Lounge (IDL) in the North and South Terminals, valued at a combined 350m, as well as a 140m extension to Pier 6.
If you have a proven track record of delivering projects above 100m, this is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact.
As the Project Lead at this Major Airport, each day brings unique challenges. Youll be able to lead strategic projects across our entire customer journey. You will be supporting the Programme Director and the team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, and within budget to the highest standard.
From concept to execution, as the Project Lead, youll have the opportunity to lead the full project lifecycle on a wide variety of impactful projects, in a live environment, and be instrumental in shaping the future of one of the worlds busiest airports.
What is the role?
Reporting to the Programme Director, youll be responsible for taking complex projects through various stages, from design and procurement to construction and delivery. Youll be focused on high-quality results and handing over the project confident in the knowledge you have played a pivotal role in helping the airport deliver something impactful for the business and its customers.
What are we looking for?
The live environment at this Major Airport requires all our teams to have a flexible and adaptable approach, with problem-solving skills and an innovative outlook. In addition, this role requires:
Significant experience as a Project Leader or Project Manager, leading infrastructure projects in a live operational environment. Your experience will demonstrate handling big projects or multi-year programs worth over 100 million (ideally in a relevant industry for example highways, airfields, rail or nuclear).
Experience in leading teams of 10 people or more.
Demonstrable experience in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, with multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, to explain how you are working and why in a straightforward way.
Proven leadership and influencing skills, along with the ability to motivate, coach, facilitate, and create learning opportunities for others.
