United Learning are one of four partners selected by The Maths Excellence Fund to trial and test initiatives that will increase the attainment and progress of disadvantaged pupils with potential for Maths excellence. We have been awarded £1.9 million to fund our programme over the next five years. We are looking to appoint an Project Lead to oversee and deliver this new and exciting 5-year project for schools across our Trust. As Project Lead for the Maths Excellence programme you will have the unique opportunity to shape and drive this programme from its outset, managing relationships between several stakeholders, including an external evaluation partner.
The position is based at the London office and you will work proactively and innovatively to drive change through your work and your support of the work of leaders in schools. To be successful in this role you will need to be well organised, be able to utilise effective project management skills to deliver on time and to budget, have strong communication skills and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
As Project Lead for the United Excellence Programme you will initially be working with a subset of our extensive portfolio of Secondary Academies (50+). You will embody our ethos of bringing out ’the best in everyone’. You will be leading on a range of programme initiatives, providing administrative and operational support to the Maths Excellence Coordinators in schools to raise standards and improve progress and attainment. You will work effectively with our team of existing Maths advisers, curriculum writers and teachers and will gather an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the work that our schools do. You will be instrumental in sharing best practice across participating schools and collating evidence of teacher, parent, and pupil engagement. You will also monitor the impact of the programme and communicate clearly with our external evaluation partners when necessary.
