What is the Project Management Graduate scheme?
You’ll embark on a 2-year scheme where you’ll participate in a curated programme and complete 6-month rotations around the business. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your knowledge in the following project areas:
- Project management/Investment delivery
- Core Engineering
- Operations
- Supply Chain
- Projects team at Gloucester Business Park
You’ll gain valuable experience and build your confidence whilst deciding where you’d like to specialise in the future.

Training, development and support for you:
We’re passionate about your development and offer a tailored training path that will help develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours, both during the scheme and in your future career.
You will also be involved in live multi discipline projects, learning and upskilling in:
- Engineering design, contract and field execution strategies for project delivery
- Large complex multidiscipline contracts and the tender review process
- Control of costs and change
- Close out of commercial claims and the associated negotiations
- Front end design and development of solutions
- Design/construction interface to ensure a smooth transition or handover and how to address the issues which occur at this interface.
At the end of the graduate programme we’ll support you in deciding how you want to progress your career within EDF.

To join our team you’ll need:
- 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree or higher (obtained or expected) in a either Programme Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other relevant Engineering Degree.
- We will need you to be open minded, flexible and have an agile way of thinking to succeed in a dynamic fast paced project environment.
- Having a strategic mindset that brings innovative ideas.
- Effective interpersonal skills are key, as well as being able to demonstrate high ethical behaviour, integrity, humility, and character.
- Effective communication skills will be required to manage your stakeholders whilst prioritising competing demands.
- To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
Our Assessment Centre will be held virtually on Wednesday the 13th of March.
