HAYS are delighted to be working in partnership with the council to present an exciting new permanent opportunity for a Project Management Office Lead (2-year fixed term period).
Your new role
As a Project Management Office Lead, you will be focused on the successful monitoring and delivery of several council programmes, including the capital regeneration programme. You will work closely with the council's senior leadership team and project teams, to successfully take projects from conception to delivery, ensuring effective governance is deployed across the capital programme. This position presents a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of potential change, implementing a new, co-ordinated approach to support the delivery of major programmes.
You will:

• Support the development and delivery of the council's capital programme, which includes large scale development projects.
• Actively coach, provide training, and support people across the council to ensure effective governance and processes are followed.
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines to test, tweak and embed new ways of working that deliver projects to budget, on time and to the required purpose.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to demonstrate experience of using an agile approach to introduce new ways of working. In addition, you will have excellent skills within the identification and management of risk, use of a range of frameworks and methodologies, and also have excellent partnership working and communication skills.
