Sainsbury’s Zest is our in-house creative agency and is poised for a great future! While we’ve been thriving in the production and creative studio space, we have ambitions to evolve our creative capabilities to become a strategic and creative partner to the Sainsbury’s business – encompassing the Sainsbury’s, Argos, Nectar, Habitat and Tu brands. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of two major projects; In-housing creative activity from 3 rd party agencies and setting up a new Tech platform to support workflow, capacity, and content management, which will support Zest’s Optimisation programme. You'll also embed best-practise for Project Management, into the wider Creative Operations and Production team.
You’ll work collaboratively with other Marketing & Loyalty and Technology colleagues, project stakeholders including those in the wider Sainsbury’s Group, and third-party suppliers to effectively shape, mobilise and deliver project outcomes to agreed budgets and timelines in order to drive the successful delivery of the Zest Optimisation programme.

In-housing creative activity from 3 rd party agencies
- Facilitate the outlining of clear scopes of work, between Zest team and Marketing & Loyalty channel owner
- Liaise with 3 rd party agency Business Partner and respective Account teams, on all aspects of the handover of work from 3 rd party agency into Zest, including:
- Maintain a clear progress tracker and critical path for the management of the in-housing programme
- Hold Zest and Marketing & Loyalty Channel teams to account on actions and deliverables associated with the project plan Establish contingency plans, should they be required
New Tech Platform Implementation
- Workwith solution provider to identify key milestones needed for implementation and build this into a plan
- Co-ordinate Super Users to support with System configuration as well as co-ordinating a testing plan alongside solution provider (testing completed by super users)
- Plan training sessions with Super Users, ensure training materials are in place and ensure super users have a wider training roll out plan for the rest of Zest team and stakeholders Manage co-ordination of initial system issues/ feedback for the first couple of months and handover to Zest business owners once the solution is working in a stable way

- Experience leading the end-to-end delivery of change projects combining both IT and Creative Services
- Excellent relationship management skills including a proven ability to influence at a Senior Management level
- Experience within Marketing Agencies is advantageous
- Experience in Agile methods (SCRUM, SAFe etc.) and waterfall hybrid environments is advantageous
- Leadership style should be enabling, empowering and authentic
- Demonstrate analytical rigour, aspiration, initiative, self-awareness and environmental radar.
