Five projects are currently being developed: water efficient gardens, urban regeneration, landscape scale programmes, Advanced Water Industry National Environment Programme (AWINEP) and using National Trust covenants to protect and restore nature. What it's like to work here
You will work operational staff and specialists in Anglian Water and the National Trust, as well as external partners and funders. This is a 3-year fixed term contract. This is a home-based role, within Anglian Water’s catchment area, with options to go into National Trust and Anglian Water offices.
Key relationships include Anglian Water’s Director of Quality and Environment and Head of Environmental Strategy, and the National Trust’s Regional Director for Midlands and East of England, Directors of Operations within the East of England, and the regional External Affairs Consultant.
What you'll be doing You’ll lead development of the five projects working with Project Managers and teams to develop these within the two organisations’ project governance frameworks: taking them from concept to delivery. You’ll be the day-to-day voice and figurehead of the programme.You’ll ensure the right skills and interests from both AW and NT are represented within each project, and that the projects remain aligned to shared strategic objectives. You’ll also manage the timeline and resourcing, including sourcing external funding for project development and delivery. You will be responsible for programme level reporting of project time, cost, and scope to the Partnership Board.
You’ll recruit, direct, and support the Project Manager of each of the projects, developing an energetic, trusting, and collaborative team. You’ll develop and coordinate a joint communications plan.
This post will be hosted, and line managed within the National Trust but will be accountable to the Programme Board consisting of Anglian Water and National Trust Directors. Who we're looking for We’d love to hear from you if you have:
•Experience of successfully delivering complex end to end project/programme management, including defining resources, leading procurement, securing project teams and matrix management across multiple projects/programmes. •A recognised project (AMP PMQ/Prince) or programme management (MSP) qualification •Evidence of ongoing CPD in your career to date •Excellent problem solving and influencing skills, able to confidently work with senior leaders. •Experience of managing complex and difficult external stakeholder relationships •Excellent communication and coaching skills
