Project Manager

The role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the University’s Capital Projects Department which carries responsibility for the delivery of the University’s construction and infrastructure projects and programmes, ranging from £50k to £50m plus. What will you be doing? You will be responsible for the management of part of a substantial development and refurbishment programme portfolio with a key focus on projects within the University’s residential estate, from initial concept through design, specification, planning, tender preparation and bid evaluation to the supervision of construction, completion and occupation to defined timescales. You will have experience of working with multi-disciplinary design teams on technically complex construction projects and be able to direct the team to achieve the University’s requirements.  You will be enthusiastic, calm under pressure, and have proven construction project management and contract administration skills.  You will be comfortable in communicating at all levels and have the drive to deliver projects on time, within budget and in accordance with the brief.    Working as part of a successful and highly motivated team, you will be able to contribute to the development of the University at a time of major opportunity.    A good salary, generous holiday, and with a friendly and engaging environment are part of the benefits of this rare opportunity.
