Project Manager

We Build Recruitment are on the lookout for a Project Manager based in the North West to join a growing consultancy company based in Manchester who are continually winning new projects and showing no signs of slowing down.

Projects are mostly commercial fitouts with previous examples including theatres and arenas as this is their specialism but it’s not a must that you have experience specifically in the same.

The salary is negotiable and dependant on experience. The range for this position is roughly £50-£70,000 but should you exceed expectations, then it’s still worth having a conversation about more. As there will be occasional travel to site required, all travel will be paid and if overnight accommodation is required, this will also be provided with a food allowance.

Job Role:

• Able to communicate with a variety of different stakeholders
• Mapping project requirements, delivery timelines and costs
• Excellent time management skills
• Developing detailed project plans & business cases to guide clients through projects
• Tender for external suppliers to assist with design and concept, identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience and strengths
• Monitoring complex project performance to ensure timely delivery, including complex project status reports to clients, management and all other relevant stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining excellent leadership and communication skills, effectively building the relationship with the client and contractors at all times
• Manage all relevant budgets, monitoring expenditure and costs, advising the client and internal stakeholders of any deviation
• Travel to client sites where applicable

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous project management experience from a consultancy specifically (minimum 5 years ideally)
• Having a background in Fitout is ideal but having full life cycle experience in construction projects is necessary
• Strong time management skills to ensure you meet agreed deadlines
