Project Manager (Business Support)
Rate - £350 a day
Location - London (Hybrid)
Duration - 2 months Initially
IR35 - Inside (Must use an umbrella company)
Main accountabilities:
The Project Manager role will be responsible for project management of several Business Support programmes and internal engagement activities with SMEs' participants. The postholder will be accountable ensuring efficient delivery of participants records, quality assurance, timetabling, business continuity and programme stakeholder planning consistently across the programmes. The role will play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing the activities of the Business Support programmes.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Projects Management
* To support the work of the Industry Programmes Manager in developing and implementing the Business Support programme Delivery Plans and knowledge transfer and partnership and business engagement plans
* To support the Industry Programmes Manager in project managing an expanding number of Business Support programmes with increasing SME business leaders as participants, planning and coordinating the day-to-day project support to ensure consistently effective project delivery.
* Project Management:
o To assist fellows and set up a workable project management system.
o To monitor project completion and liaise with delivery, impact management and operation team to help ensure delivery of Business Support projects on time.
o To liaise with the Programme Directors, senior management team and funders about the delivery of final reports, extensions and bids for further funding.
* To produce and process all paperwork associated with contracting out of work to academics employed elsewhere, independent fellows, facilitators or agencies.
* To maintain qualitative and quantitative reports of activities in Business Support programmes to support the Industry Programmes Manager in the preparation of senior management reports.
* To oversee the compilation of European funding claims, upload these on the Funders MCIS system and present these to the Operations Manager for formal submission.
* To oversee and manage the maintenance of the Claim and Beneficiary Files ensuring they remain in good order.
* To attend and contribute to the weekly Operations Group meetings.
* To ensure all Project related activities, including those services provided by external suppliers, conform to European Funding Rules and Regulations.
* Maintain the library of funders background documents (ERDF, ESF etc).
