PJS Telecoms & Utilities provides a wide range of services, covering Telecoms, Electrical, Utilities, EV Car Charges and ANPR (Automated Number Plate Recognition) installs.
Purpose of the Role
You will be responsible for the control of our projects and/or assigned tasks, including managing, and issuing of permits, ensuring scheduled programme of work are delivered on time, in budget and full Health & Safety Compliance. Oversee the day-to-day operational duties of the Engineers, both contractual and direct labour to ensure a quality service at all stages.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Manage day-to-day permit applications to ensure compliance across a range of measures.
- Ensure data collected is accurate and error-free and reported via the correct format.
- Ensure all related service performance indicators and contractual requirements are met.
- Raising permit applications as per works descriptions to build a continuous program of works
- Checking permit status & safe digs dates are accurate and in date.
- Monitor permits to ensure no over runs result in Fines.
- Updating Permit Trackers / Internal Trackers.
- Key stakeholder engagement Client/LA/Operational labour.
- Ensuring any additional equipment/Materials are in place to enable successful completion of work .
Skills & Experience Required:
The experience requires for this position includes but not limited to the following:
- Experience of highway and maintenance works (majority Telecoms).
- Experience of NRSWA, TMA and LoPS.
- A flexible approach that can adapt to challenging timescales and workloads.
- Confident in working with people at all levels
- Possess competent IT skills including the ability to adapt to various software packages Asset Management Systems
- Ability to manage time and workloads to a strict schedule and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to continually develop professional knowledge, skills and behaviours
- Ability to communicate effectively across all areas
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with clients and internal team members
- Ability to show continual improvement in the role and to the wider organisation
