Terms and Conditions
£32,000 per annum (£32,000 per annum FTE)
Full time, 35 hours per week, working 4/5 days per week (days flexible by arrangement)
Fixed term contract until March 2025 (extension possible, dependent on funding)
Based in Cardiff (Pride Cymru Head Office) with some home working to be agreed. Occasional travel will be required across Wales
Purpose
Job purpose: to manage the work of Fast Track Cymru across Wales, supervising a small team of part time development workers with regional Fast Track City networks, liaising with the Welsh Government and other stakeholders and ensuring that the national coalition functions well and reaches the targets agreed with the Welsh Government in pursuit of ending new HIV transmissions and eliminating HIV stigma in Wales by 2030.
Pride Cymru (the host agency for Fast Track Cymru) has a central project office in Cardiff but successful candidates will also be able to work partially from home. You will need to be well organised, understand the current realities of HIV, Welsh politics and health services and have experience in managing community, charitable or network-based projects.
Responsibilities
Working with an Advisory Council, recruit, induct and manage a small team of part time staff across Wales working to create and sustain Fast Track Cities
Support the Advisory Council through group meetings and 1-1 work to enable it to help and inform the work of Fast Track Cymru and its member coalitions
Work with statutory authorities, politicians and community groups to ensure an understanding of the role of Fast Track City coalitions
Ensure proper management of the administrative and financial systems needed to undertake this work within the umbrella of the Pride Cymru charity
Develop, directly undertake and/or manage the contribution of Fast Track Cymru to projects and initiatives within the Wales HIV Action Plan
Ensure that all grant and funding conditions are adhered to and progress towards work targets is monitored and achieved, taking remedial action where any problems are encountered
Seek funding for the continuation of Fast Track Cymru beyond March 2025 and for other one-off projects.
Represent the work of Fast Track Cymru to appropriate bodies and events including conferences, politicians and policymakers
Work with local Fast Track networks to support and amplify their voices in policy making at local and national level with particular attention to ensuring the inclusion of people with HIV and those from under-represented communities and backgrounds
Promote local and national Fast Track and allied initiatives through social and other media activities in liaison with Fast Track Cymru’s Comms Team
Deliver agreed work on time and to budget, keeping track of expenses and maintaining records to the standard required by the Data Protection Act
Ensure the inclusion of people living with HIV and people from key affected communities in the creation of campaigns and other pieces of work and in management of the coalition
Ensure that Fast Track Cymru adheres to all appropriate data, work and other legislative requirements
