Suffolk Wildlife Trust is the county's nature charity – the only organisation dedicated wholly to safeguarding Suffolk’s wildlife and countryside.
The Trust recently led a successful bid for project funding as part of the Government's Landscape Recovery Scheme that supports the delivery of projects that restore nature, reduce flood risks and boost biodiversity.
As Project Manager of this exciting Landscape Recovery pilot project, you will have a unique opportunity to help us realise our ambition for a wilder Suffolk working collaboratively with the Stour Valley and Wool Towns farmer clusters.
Across a two-year project development period, you will manage a complex range of contract and in-house work packages designed to deliver an implementation ready, landscape scale nature recovery project. This will be across some 20,000ha of farmed land, Enhancing and Connecting woodland habitats and improving landscape resilience and farm sustainability. You will work closely with a group of landowners and managers to develop the governance and management structures needed to take the project forward into a 25-year implementation phase.
Our ideal candidate will be organised and effective. Someone who can bring groups together and lead a project. You will be self motivated and passionate about our mission to Bring Nature Back.
As well as a competitive salary we offer a range of benefits including a 9% pension contribution and employee assistance program.
