Who we are looking for
A Project Manager, IT Services and Information Security, who will plan, execute and deliver technological platform changes.
Working in our IT Services and Information Security portfolio, you will deliver projects that support various initiatives within the Business to upgrade existing services, on-board new products and solutions to our internal end users and support the wider operation with security and compliance.
You will run a multitude of different projects including proof of concepts for new technologies such as cloud VPN, email security, document sensitivity and refreshing and replacing existing platforms and services including LMS and authentication federation, deploying server agents and monitoring AV, vulnerabilities, software auditing, whilst supporting various initiatives such as cloud services, Microsoft 365 and BYOD.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Familiarity in dealing directly with technical functions, including architecture, database, network, security, infrastructure platforms, IT operations, software development and test and release management.
- Broad knowledge of project management terminology, tools and techniques.
- Pragmatism to the delivery approach, giving real consideration to the best and most efficient way to plan and release solutions.
- Understanding and experience of a variety of test approaches both functional and non-functional.
- Ability to plan and balance priorities whilst working towards deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills through usage of a range of styles, tools and techniques to ensure communicative clarity.
Main Responsibilities
- Running projects from the initiation through to delivery and closure within the agreed timescales.
- Ensuring all projects are resourced, planned and controlled correctly, using the tools necessary to manage scope, time, risk and quality.
- Working with Business and IT stakeholders to define scope and solutions of projects, whilst resolving issues as necessary.
- Ensuring relevant project stakeholders are engaged appropriately.
- Working directly with appointed technical leads and project team members to provide support and direction as required, contributing towards overall project objectives.
- Following delivery, providing lessons learned and activity based actions to improve the department’s delivery capability.
- Managing changes in scope and priorities in an effective and controlled manner.
