Role Overview
As the Project Manager for Product Development, you will lead and manage product development projects in an agile environment. You will oversee two scientists who are dedicated to researching and developing new products. This role demands a strong focus on achieving KPIs, metrics, and demonstrating success in project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead product development projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Agile Environment: Manage projects within an agile framework, adapting to changes and ensuring flexibility.
- Team Leadership: Supervise two scientists, guiding their research efforts and fostering a collaborative environment.
- KPI Achievement: Work towards achieving key performance indicators and metrics, showcasing success in project outcomes.
- Innovation Promotion: Actively promote R&D initiatives across the organization.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in strategic decision-making and direction of product development projects.
- System Development: Manage and develop systems for efficient product launches.
- Relationship Building: Develop relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry bodies to identify new opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement within the Product Development function.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain product development records in line with company policies.
- Training: Undertake necessary training to support Product Development activities.
- Innovation Promotion: Champion the adoption of innovation across the business.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in project management, preferably within product development.
- Ability to manage projects in an agile environment.
- Proven success in achieving KPIs and metrics.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and inspire a research team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full, valid UK/EU driving license.
Desirable:
- Technical or scientific background.
