I'm recruiting for a Project Manager to join my client, who offer financial products to people that may have coplex situations and struggle to get them from high street banks etc. You'll get to work fully remotely with team catchups in Bristol a couple of times a year. They are keen to build a team based aorund the South West so would like people based around the South West of England despite getting to work remotely.
They are currently a team of 65 with a growing tech team of 7 . Their tech team develop a range of internal web based systems used within the company, with customer-facing aspects, such as CRM platforms featuring customer dashboards and document upload capabilities. Their team very much has that typical startup mentality, fast paced with rapidly evolving projects and a team full of people passionate about what they are doing. They try to be agile where possible, but, as with most startups this is still a work in progress.
They are now looking to hire their first Project Manager to take on the Project Management responsibilities that have previously been carried out by their CTO and UX Designer.
It's an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to go in and help them on their journey. You will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of their software development projects, ensuring alignment with their company goals and timescales and manage, timelines, and resources effectively, addressing and mitigating potential bottlenecks in the development process. They have lots of exciting things in the pipelines so its a great time to be joining.
You will work closely with the CEO, CTO and development team to implement and maintain project management best practices, including sprint planning, feature-based work, and ad-hoc project adjustments.
You will work closely with their CEO to understand strategic directions, prioritise tasks, and adapt project plans to reflect changing business needs and priorities.
You will also oversee the creation and maintenance of project documentation, including tech specs, design requirements, and user stories, in collaboration with the team and stakeholders.
It's an exciting role that you can really get stuck into. Their ideal person will have worked within a smaller company or startup before, have Project Managed projects across web and digital projects and be used to working in an environment with shifting priorities.
Salary is up to £45,000.
