Rare opportunity for a dynamic candidate to join the enthusiastic and hard-working team at a busy publishing company based in central Edinburgh.
To be successful you will have:
- at least 3 years' relevant experience, perhaps from a PA/administrative background.
- excellent computer skills, preferably including experience of Microsoft Office, Sage 50 and Dropbox.
- a very high standard of written and spoken English.
- an eye for detail.
- exceptional organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- a flexible ‘can-do’ approach and the ability to problem solve independently.
- experience of publishing (desirable, but not essential).
Duties will include:
- project management of various publications from concept through to print.
- liaising with designers, authors and customers.
- proofreading, editing and picture research.
- compiling sales reports in conjunction with the Head of Production.
- assisting the sales team in processing orders and invoicing using Sage 50.
- handling all logistical processes involved with delivering product to customers.
- maintaining bibliographic database.
- maintaining website.
- managing and ordering office supplies.
- answering phone, greeting visitors, any other office duties as required.
Location: Edinburgh city centre, office based.
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm.
Holidays: 25 days, plus public holidays, plus birthday.
Salary: up to £28,000 depending on experience.
