Projects and Programme Support Officer

Salary: £20 Per Hour

Full Time (37 hours per week)

Role Purpose:

To work with all officers within Property, Facilities Management and Health and Safety Projects Team, including the Service Manager, as well as senior officers from across the Council to ensure effective service delivery including:

• Organising and implementing effective administrative systems and processes for the service
• Supporting implementation of key Council and Partnership frameworks, including: performance management, project and Programme management and business intelligence to support continuous improvement in the delivery of Council and Partnership priorities
• Providing high quality support to the organisation and implementation of joint working and projects across the range of functions within the Service.
• Providing effective technical and administrative support to project activity on behalf of the Council and the Partnership as appropriate
• Providing project support to the Service Manager as and when required.

You will be:

• To support delivery of the Council and Partnerships priorities and objectives through the implementation of key Projects and Programmes.
• To assist in developing and to maintain project and Programme management approaches and processes, including databases and other recording systems on behalf of the Council and the Partnership to support collection, recording, monitoring and evaluation of information, working with other officers to ensure timely and accurate input and amendments.
• To ensure information produced through project and Programme delivery processes is of a high standard, accurate and timely, presented in an easy to understand format.
• To produce high quality presentation material for seminars, workshops etc and assist in the production of guidance and effective communication on project and Programme management related matters.
• To provide effective technical and project management assistance to the organisation and implementation of joint working, Projects and Programmes across a range of functions on behalf of the Council and the Partnership.
• To co-ordinate the collection of information and comments from officers across the Council and partners and assist in the preparation of reports and briefing notes for consideration by senior officers and members.
• To establish effective working relationships with officers of all services and partner organisations, to ensure co-ordinated and effective working so that Council and partner objectives are achieved.
• To be aware of/ liaise with a range of key contacts within the district.
• To provide administrative support to individual Projects and Programmes and wider management of the service.
