The Diocese of St Albans is looking for a Property Director.
Full-time or 0.8 fte
Pro rata to FTE of c. £70,000 pa, with flexibility for the right candidate.
The Property Director leads our team responsible for around 300 residential houses and approximately 3,200 acres of land across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Luton and parts of Barnet. Reporting to the Diocesan Secretary and working with the Boards and Committees of the diocese, you will be responsible for all aspects of property and land management, assert development and property advice to churches and schools in the diocese.
The diocese holds – both directly and through its churches – a substantial portfolio of land and buildings assets. Your role will be to combine maintaining these operational assets with seeking development opportunities to maximise their value for the life of the diocese. Through these activities you will have a major positive impact supporting local clergy, churches and schools to make a difference in their local communities.
You will need to be a strategic leader with strong property, budget management and procurement experience. You will match entrepreneurial drive and strategic vision with an understanding of the modern church landscape. You will be passionate about enhancing the culture and values of the diocese and delivering high-quality services and value for money.
This is a full-time role with options available around flexible and hybrid working.
