Summary

We have a rare and exciting opportunity to join the South Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire portfolio, as Property Operations Manager for Tattershall Castle. If you’re an experienced manager, passionate about people, giving our visitors a great day out and making our places run smoothly for everyone, then we would love to hear from you.

This is our anticipated salary from 1st April but is subject to final confirmation following the Trust’s annual pay review process.

Tattershall Castle has been in the care of the National Trust for 100 years in 2025 and welcomes over 50,000 visitors each year. Tattershall Castle is a magnificent medieval tower proudly rising from the flat Lincolnshire fens; a survivor of conflict, decay and restoration.

You'll lead the Property Leadership team for Tattershall Castle with department specialists who lead for experiences, conservation and land, outdoor and nature .

The property consists of a Scheduled Monument and Scheduled area, listed buildings, parkland, workspace for property-based colleagues, two holiday lets, visitor reception with a small food and beverage offer, and second hand book shop.

What you'll be doing

Day to day, you’ll manage and be accountable for the operations on-site at Tattershall Castle, Lincolnshire. You’ll be committed to delivering and maintaining outstanding experiences and for ensuring your teams are empowered to delight visitors.

You’ll line manage a team of staff and volunteers and have responsibility for everything from health & safety, compliance through to presentation, service and volunteer management, with accountability for financial performance of the property.

Reporting to the General Manager you’ll work alongside other senior leaders in the wider South Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire portfolio, to create and deliver the strategic property business plans.
