Job description

The Case Officer will be responsible for case management within discretionary Property Value Protection (PVP) scheme from within the Community Engagement and Siting Directorate of Nuclear Waste Services.
The role holder will be responsible for:
- interfacing with applicants, management of applications
- management of an independent decision making panel
- preparing / providing briefings with local stakeholders and Community Engagement teams
- the valuation process for properties.
The role will support and co-ordinate the decision making process and manage issues and risks/opportunities, providing timely and effective reporting to ensuring that there are no surprises for key stakeholders.
Initially the role will work with Nuclear Waste Services Community Investment Team to allow the post holder to become accustomed to working with Community partnerships, and Core, Legal and Governance teams within the organisation as well as assessment and report writing.

Nuclear Waste Services builds on the work delivered at the Low-Level Waste Repository (LLWR) site and the Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) programme, maintaining these key activities whilst also adding further essential services for customers in the nuclear energy, defence, industrial, medical, and research sectors. Maintaining and developing this knowledge and experience is key to securing and developing our unique nuclear waste capabilities for the UK and the rest of the world

Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) is a joint trading name of LLW Repository Limited and Radioactive Waste Management Limited.
This role will be employed by LLW Repository Limited unless the successful candidate is currently on Radioactive Waste Management Limited terms and conditions. In this situation the employee will continue on their current terms and conditions.
