This is an exciting opportunity to join the Customer Proposition Development team.
You’ll support the development and launch of new propositions - ensuring customer need is always front of mind - providing our customers with compelling reasons to become and stay a member of Nationwide.
This role is within the Customer Strategy, Insights & Propositions (CSI&P) team within the Customer, Brand and Engagement function.
The Customer Proposition Development team is responsible for taking the Customer Strategy to market through the development of propositions from concept to reality to meet customer and Society needs.
We work across Nationwide, facilitating connections to ensure we meet the holistic needs of our members whist delivering against Society objectives.
You’ll be required to attend an office (London or Swindon) for at least two days a week (or 40% of part-time hours).

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be working in a high performing team to identify proposition opportunities and review these to create a compelling case for delivery, drawing on internal and external insight and research to ensure all propositions align to Customer Strategy and customer need, and are viable and feasible.
You’ll work with colleagues from across CSI&P, CBE and other teams to generate ideas and solutions, gaining buy in and working together to bring propositions to life to deliver against key customer and business objectives.
You’ll support and lead on work across the full proposition lifecycle from ideation through to delivery and beyond including the management and improvement of existing propositions.
Working with stakeholders from across Nationwide you’ll also be a source of proposition expertise, identifying commonalities and connections across Functions to enable more joined-up thinking. This could include the creation and management of a Society-wide Proposition Development roadmap.
About you
- Experience in Proposition Development, product management or related roles from design through to delivery with a real passion for meeting customer needs
- A broad understanding of the proposition lifecycle including product/proposition risk management and governance
- Relationship building experience including stakeholder management and collaboration
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the confidence to work with and influence colleagues
- Good planning and organisational skills and the ability to proactively manage your own work
- Resilience and a readiness to persevere in the face of challenge
- An attention to detail with the ability to present complex information in a factual and balanced way
- A curious and creative mindset with a passion to innovate
