We are working with an independent pub restaurant in the Scarborough area with a fantastic name and reputation in the area for quality fresh food, served in a warm & friendly environment.We are happy to speak to chefs with fresh food pub experience looking at pay rates starting from £13.00 per hour and is judged depending on the experience of the chef, you will also benefit from tips generated in the venue and meals whilst you are on duty.
This role would be great for either a chef with years of experience in the trade or someone coming up through the ranks and wanting to gain from the experience of the chefs in situ currently. Our client is based outside of public transport routes in Scarborough so you would need access to your own transport to complete this role and be expected to work weekends as well as evenings as part of their shift patterns.
There is also no accommodation for this role so the chef must live in a suitable distance from the venue.
Role:
- Support the team in leading the kitchen team through preparation & service of the menu.
- Have a part in the development of new menus along with seasonal specials
- Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH requirements.
- Assist with staff planning, team development & stock management.
Requirements:
- Previous Sous Chef experience or Chef de Partie looking to step up.
- NVQ or City & Guild Qualifications along with Food Safety and Allergens
- Fresh food experience in a pub setting.
- Access to your own transport.
