The RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic Public Partnership Coordinator to coordinate Public Partnership activities across Newcastle Health Innovation Partners (NHIP) and the Clinical Research Directorate (CRD) in Newcastle Hospitals. Public partnership activities will include patient and public involvement, engagement, and participation activities in health research within the two organisations. NHIP is just one of eight designated Academic Health Science Centres in England, committed to improving health of the regional population through research, innovation, education and training. The CRD is the hugely successful research function within Newcastle Hospitals. Reporting to the Head of Public Partnership, the post holder will support the development and implementation of Public Partnership strategies and be a point of contact for public involvement activities across NHIP and CRD. This varied role will include coordinating meetings, events and a new Public Partnership training programme. There will be opportunities to work alongside and support an inspiring mix of researchers and clinicians, public involvement professionals, public contributors and local community representatives. Whilst the successful candidate will be employed by NHIP, hosted by Newcastle University, their time will be equally split between NHIP and the CRD. The post is offered on a fixed-term basis with an end date of 31.03.2025. This role would also be suitable as a secondment opportunity.
