Domus Engineering Ltd is a UK based manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive range of high quality bathroom and sanitaryware products. Domus is currently one of the leading UK production companies of valves, fittings and distribution manifolds for plumbing systems. We are currently looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant Full Time.

Job Description:

As a Purchase Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement team to ensure the smooth and efficient sourcing of materials and products essential for our manufacturing processes. This includes but is not limited to the following deliveries and shipments, developing and maintaining new product codes and providing suppliers all information required for our orders.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assume logistics coordination, monitoring shipments, and taking all necessary steps to ensure that they are received in a timely manner; coordinate ETA’s with sales, customer service, Quality complaints, Documentation, and Production. 

• Ensure delivery dates are met by suppliers according to shipment schedule. 

• Keep up to date with payment due dates

• Maintain Shipment Schedule on Excel / SAP

• Update Excel/System with costs where applicable

• Generate Daily/Weekly reports on shipment positions

• Follow up suppliers for un-answered questions or response

• Provide general administrative duties and support for the Purchasing department

Skills/Abilities

• Bilingual Chinese Mandarin/English required

• Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Experience using SAP beneficial

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to quickly learn product information

• Ability to exercise independent thinking

• Would suit someone living locally

Qualifications/Requirements

• 5 years + experience in a purchasing position
