Purchase Ledger Clerk

Kids Planet Day Nurseries is a rapidly growing family run group of nurseries with plans to double in size over the next ten years. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will ensure that the Purchase Ledger is kept up to date daily with payments, invoices and statements.

This role will be primarily based at our Head Office in Lymm, Cheshire, to move forward in this role you must be able to commute to this location.

Principal Duties/Tasks & responsibilities

·To ensure that the Purchase Ledger is accurately maintained and process deadlines (payment dates) are met

·Daily cash book and bank statement reconciliation on Microsoft Dynamics ( new system )

·To ensure suppliers (trade suppliers, councillors, partners) are paid in accordance with agreed terms and conditions, or in accordance with best practice

·Ensure that all supplier invoices have been approved

·Reconciliation of supplier statements

·Liaising with suppliers to gather missing documents or invoices

·Support with facilities management

·Support with utilities management

·Look to reduce costs through analysis of the Purchase Ledger

·Resolving supplier queries

·Process expense payments to staff

·Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role

The ideal candidate will have:

·At least 2 years dedicated Purchase Ledger experience

·Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics

·Good level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook

·Confident communication skills

·Ability to work to tight deadlines

·Self-motivated, calm and professional, and able to work efficiently in a busy office environment

·Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail
