Your new company
A successful technology company, with offices based nationally, are now looking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their Finance team on an initial 6-month fixed term contract, with a view to become permanent in the summer. This particular role would be based in their Nelson offices, with the expectation of a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.
Your new role
In your new role as Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for managing daily transactions, which includes vendor account management and banking transactions. You will reconciling vendor accounts, including query resolution, whilst developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external parties. You will assist with the month-end, ensuring appropriate records are maintained for all transactions, to support the year-end audit and statutory returns. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, with 3 days based in the office and 2 days based from home.
What you\'ll need to succeed
Previous experience of working in a fast paced, high volume Accounts Payable Department is essential for this role, along with a working knowledge of accounting systems. You will be a confident user of Excel and other MS office packages, and have a working style of being highly organised and focused with an ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and manage own time effectively. You will possess excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
