Your new role
In this newly created Accounts Supervisor / Purchase Ledger Supervisor job, you will take the lead in supporting the finance team in processing sales and purchase invoices. This will involve delegating processing duties across the team as the department process circa 2,000 invoices per month across multiple sites and cost-centres.
As the Supervisor, it will be your overall responsibility to ensure suppliers are paid, reduce entries on the balance sheet and statement / GRN reconciliations are completed daily to manage the volume of transactions throughout the business. This will also involve working with the wider finance team regarding cash flow, financial reporting and reporting to the Senior Management Team with KPI\'s from the account\'s ledger processing department.
Due to the volume and complexity of the invoices, we expect to have the relevant expertise in managing the full end-to-end ledger processing journey including customer queries, internal analysis, resolving processing issues and always looking to improve systems etc.
What you will need to succeed
You will have proven experience as an Accounts Supervisor / Purchase Ledger Supervisor or senior Purchase Ledger clerk who is looking to take the lead in supporting and developing the accounts team. We expect you to be able to reconcile large customer accounts, resolve queries and strive to improve processing systems in a fast-paced FMCG business.
What you will get in return
The organisation offers a salary of £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience, 20 days\' holiday plus the Bank Holidays, pension, free car-parking, Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
