Tailored Recruitment Consultancy are currently recruiting for an established but growing manufacturing business in Yeadon for a Purchasing Assistant.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies
Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies
Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of goods
Supply chain experience and understanding is key
The Person
Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar procurement role
Strong knowledge of Excel, Analysis and systems
Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers
Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers
