Our client provides services within the construction sector and are part of a large national organisation who are leaders in their field. This role is based at their offices on the out skirts of Lancaster. Due to the location of the offices use of your own transport is required.
As a Purchasing Administrator, you will work closely with the Buyer to support all aspects of purchasing across the Company.
You will be responsible for:
- Processing purchase orders for various divisions within the Company
- Ensuring order accuracy and timely delivery by verifying order acknowledgements and communicating with suppliers and stakeholders
- Handling tool repairs by obtaining quotes, raising orders and arranging the logistics.
- Collecting and maintaining safety data sheets as required
- Obtaining and recording proof of delivery from suppliers and site supervisors and updating PO’s as needed.
- Assisting with periodic stock checks and investigating any discrepancies
- Performing any other ad-hoc tasks as needed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 2 years of administration experience
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with people on all levels.
- High level of organisation and time management
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to understand the wider business and the impact of your role.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
This is a full time permanent role, Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm M-T & 8am - 3pm on a Friday.
