ARM are delighted to be supporting one of clients with the recruitment of a Purchasing Assistant on a permanent basis.
The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for Purchasing materials for project related orders and items for non-project related orders.
Responsibilities:
Respond to material requirements for project related orders.
Requesting quotations from suppliers and handling price negotiations and complaints.
Liaising with suppliers regarding non-conforming goods.
Keep MRP software up to date with supplier lead times.
Work with Stock & Logistics Technician to maintain stock of consumables.
Purchase all items in line with Approved Suppliers List.
Maintain Approved Supplier List and supplier files.
Run weekly Open Order list showing overdue suppliers and progress deliveries.
Maintaining Company Master Data and creating statistics and reports.
Requirements:
Previous Purchasing experience is essential.
Marker knowledge of Electronics would be an advantage.
Experience in Sage 50/200 and MRP Software.
Strong communication skills.
Good Analytical skills.
Ability to think strategically.
