Duties and responsibilities related to the Purchasing Manager role
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the unique needs of the hotel, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards are maintained
- Foster strong partnerships with hospitality-focused suppliers and vendors, leveraging these relationships to negotiate favourable terms and secure competitive pricing for goods and services
- Implement efficient inventory management practices to optimize stock levels of essential items, minimizing waste while ensuring uninterrupted supply to meet guest demands
- Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, from requisition to delivery, with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgetary constraints and regulatory guidelines
- Monitor and analyze purchasing data and metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and generate insights to support strategic decision-making and budget planning processes
About you
- Your proficiency in managing hotel purchasing operations, from sourcing to inventory management, is essential. Prior experience in similar roles within the hospitality industry is a prerequisite, with a background in supply chain management or related fields being advantageous
