Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
About The Role:
The company is a leading supplier and maintainer of renewable Power Generation equipment nationwide and are looking to bring on board a Purchasing Manager to join the team.
Key Duties:
- Responsible for all procurement and supply chain functions for Environ Consultants Ltd.
- Day to day procurement for an engineering and fabrication business and larger site-based projects with values of circa £20m+
- Perform strategic procurement activities, proactively search for the best deals & more suitable supply chain.
- Accountable for building and maintaining supplier relationships and partnerships.
Key Accountabilities:
- Managing daily procurement and supply chain matters and placement of purchase order and ensuring delivery performance through order acknowledgements
- Responsible for negotiating costs and
- Responsible for identifying suppliers and continue building relationships with existing suppliers
- Monitor and controlling QCD performance and supply chain analytics to reduce cost and improve effectiveness
- Management of both indirect & direct procurement including service contracts
- Collaborate with Environ team, the Projects Director, Site based Project Team and Engineering Workshop Manager
- Understand interdependencies within the business and processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proactively develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
- Technical/Engineering/Fabrication/Manufacturing background - preferred
- CIPS Qualified ideally
- Strong negotiation & networking skills to achieve optimal terms
- Experience of using MRP (Materials Resource Planning) software – Statii preferred
- Supply chain Risk Management assess, manage and mitigate risks
- Project management skills
- Financially literate.
