Location: New Mills, High Peak.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
About The Role:
The company is a leading supplier and maintainer of renewable Power Generation equipment nationwide and are looking to bring on board a Purchasing Manager to join the team.
Key Duties:
Responsible for all procurement and supply chain functions for Environ Consultants Ltd. Day to day procurement for an engineering and fabrication business and larger site-based projects with values of circa £20m+ Perform strategic procurement activities, proactively search for the best deals & more suitable supply chain. Accountable for building and maintaining supplier relationships and partnerships.
Key Accountabilities:
Managing daily procurement and supply chain matters and placement of purchase order and ensuring delivery performance through order acknowledgements. Responsible for negotiating costs and Writing Statement of Works and contracts. Flow down of contractual requirements from Client contracts to supplier Terms & Conditions – e.g. Late Deliverables penalties, Quality Standards etc. Responsible for identifying suppliers and continue building relationships with existing suppliers. Monitor and controlling QCD performance and supply chain analytics to reduce cost and improve effectiveness. Management of both indirect & direct procurement including service contracts. Manage tactical procurement decisions. Collaborate with Environ team, the Head of Projects, Site based Project Manager and Engineering Workshop Manager. Understand interdependencies within the business and processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proactively develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies. Technical/Engineering/Fabrication/Manufacturing background – preferred. CIPS Qualified ideally. Strong negotiation & networking skills to achieve optimal terms. Experience of using MRP (Materials Resource Planning) software – Statii preferred. Contractual writing (T’s & C’s). Supply chain Risk Management assess, manage and mitigate risks. Project management skills. Financially literate.
