PURCHASING MANAGER - BRISTOL
£55,000 + 25 days + Bank Holidays, Flexible working, Hybrid working, Medical cashback plan, 7x DIS, Access to Perkbox.
Due to ongoing success, my client are looking to add to their growing team with the addition of a Purchasing Manager, initially on a 12 month FTC with the possibility of this extending.
We are looking for either an experienced Buyer, or someone already with management experience. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of projects for products which are manufactured and supplied to all parts of the globe.
THE ROLE:
Overall responsibility for in excess of £5m yearly sourcing volume
Managing a team of buyers.
Improving supplier performance and sourcing new suppliers.
Work across departments internally to achieve quality targets
Manage the supplier complaint / cost recharging process, where required.
Develop and deliver cost saving strategies.
Provide cost estimates for new product developments.
Raising the profile of the purchasing department within the company.
THE PERSON:
Ability to work collaborative across departments.
Willingness to challenge the status quo.
Previous purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, with previous leadership experience being highly advantageous.
Excellent Communication, Negotiation and Influencing skills
Ability to coach and promote purchasing best practices to the rest of the team.
