We have partnered with one of the UK’s leading specialty chemical and surfactant manufacturers and are looking for an experienced Buyer/Senior Buyer/Purchasing Manager who is looking to join a well-established company as they continue to grow and develop. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this is an excellent opportunity to lead your own team and implement your own processes to play a crucial role in the companies dramatic 5 year plan. Responsibilities
- Implement new and optimise current procurement and sourcing processes, with a strong focus on cost savings
- Source new and develop current supplier relationships, negotiating favourable prices for essential raw materials, goods, and services
- Effectively manage a team of buyers to ensure procurement responsibilities are carried out efficiently
- Develop a strong understanding of market trends and stay up to date with current affairs and ‘goings on’ that may impact the business
About You
- CIPS Level 4 qualified (min)
- Experience in the FMCG market
- Chemical experience would be a distinct advantage
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems and processes
Experience of handling large budgets and spends
