Purchasing Officer - 35k - Hybrid

VANRATH are thrilled to be assisting one of our major clients in Crumlin with the recruitment of a Purchasing Officerto join their expanding team.

This is a position that requires combining excellent organisational skills, people skills and multitasking skills.

This is a Monday - Friday position. Mon - Thurs 8:30am - 5pm & Friday 8:30 - 1:15pm.

Salary

£27,000 - £35,000 per year + fantastic benefits in a modern workplace

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all purchase requests are in compliance with purchasing policy and procedures.
• Management of purchase orders from order placement to delivery.
• To source and price goods and services as required.
• To liaise with internal departments concerning prices obtained.
• Dealing with enquiries from prospective suppliers.
• Assisting in Tender processes.
• Contract management and review.
• Assist in performing governance role to ensure compliance with company policy and aide reporting of breaches.

The Ideal Person:

• At least 2 years' relevant experience of procurement.
• Good negotiation skills.
• Experience of working within an MRP/ERP platform.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365.
• Ability to work under pressure and under own iniative.
• Full driving licence.

Desirable Criteria:

• CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) qualification or equivalent or actively working towards qualification.
• Knowledge of electronic tendering and contract management systems.
