Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator
Location: London / Hybrid
Full time 37.5 hours per week
Permanent
Salary: Up to £28,000 Dependant on Experience
We're looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team based in London. Our Purchasing team support the central purchasing function with our supply chain operations, ensuring a cost effective and efficient supply to our facilities and clinicians to ensure we are able to deliver the world class patient care that we are renowned for.
As a Purchasing Coordinator you'll be a member of the central buying team, within the procure to pay process, the team is the link between external vendors, hospital procurement teams and accounts payable. Supporting the efficient and effective supply chain operations to our facilities and clinician ensuring we deliver the exceptional patient care we are renowned for.

What you'll do:
  • Create a collaborative working relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Manage inventories and place purchase orders on time.
  • Keep exceptions to the minimum and finding root cause of issues.
  • Run daily, weekly, monthly reports and publish the results internally.
  • Cover the Purchasing Supervisor when on annual leave or due to sickness.
  • Comply with all procedures and working manuals.
  • Detect stock levels which may cause problems and ensure adequate action is being taken by the team.
  • Liaise with accounts department to clear invoices on hold.
  • Manage/Report lost charges.
  • Monitor/resolve and process issues regarding purchase orders.
  • Liaise with Suppliers/Reps on site as and when necessary.
  • Carry out duties as directed and from time to time by the Purchasing Supervisor
What you'll bring:
  • Experience of working within a purchasing environment
  • Team player and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and analytics, with proven problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient general IT skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of working in Meditech software would be an advantage.
  • Proactive in handling difficult situations and have exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask in a demanding environment whilst working independently.
