We are actively recruiting for the position of QA Manager/Supervisor on behalf of our client, a key player in the Food and Drinks sector in the UK. Roles and Responsibilities
In this role you will be working alongside the technical manager to help with the implementation of food safety and quality standards on site and to ensure that they are always adhered to.
- Manage internal audits schedule and prep site for external 3rd party audits.
- Manage QA and Hygiene Team to ensure site meets operational requirements.
- Make sure site is always BRC Audit Ready and implement HACCP Plan & allergen risk assessment.
- Formulate GMP standards alongside technical manager and monitor site hygiene standards. In addition, educate and promote food safety culture within the team.
- Manage and maintain the sites QMS.
- Carry out microbiological testing and Sampling.
- Investigate customer complaints or rejections and conduct a root cause analysis. In Addition, must implement corrective measures (traceability).
Requirements
- Prior managerial or supervisory experience in a quality Role.
- Food Related Degree (preferably).
- Prior experience working at a BRC accredited Site.
- Prior experience working with fresh produce or chilled goods.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and work with operational colleagues to address technical matters.
